Latest Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) Updates:
The federal government of Canada welcomes candidates to apply for Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) through Express Entry, Occupation In-Demand, and Employment/ Job Offer.
The province uses an EOI system to sustain the number of applicants for the Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand sub-categories. The EOI (Expression of Interest) selections contain two SINP paths— one is synchronized with the Express Entry system of the federal government and others operate autonomously.
Candidates who are eligible for candidacy from the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), particularly the International Skilled Worker classification, are considered for the invitations.
- 136 applicants may be eligible for the SINP’s Express Entry sub-category.
- 123 applicants may be nominated for the Occupations In-Demand sub-category.
- The EOI score for the invited candidates was 70, irrespective of the stream.
- The candidates were required to ensure that their education qualification followed the Canadian model for Educational Credential Assessments.
- Professional expertise/ experience in one of the 63 in-demand occupations listed on the government’s website was required of the candidates.
Occupations Sub-Classification – Saskatchewan Provincial Nomination Program
The Occupations In-Demand sub-category is a cornerstone of Saskatchewan’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), which means it’s available to immigrants who don’t have an Express Entry profile.
- This sub-category is for highly skilled employees who have worked in a high-demand profession in the past and currently do not have a job offer.
- Foreign immigrants nationals must first open an EOI profile using the SINP’s online portal to apply for this sub-category.
- Applicants/ entrants will be assessed on their capacity to settle in Saskatchewan which includes factors like education, employment experience, language skills, age, and others (if required).
- The SINP International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid is then used to provide score points out of 100 to the candidates.
- The candidates with the highest scores are invited to submit an application for a nomination for permanent residence in Canada.
Express Entry Sub-Category— Saskatchewan Provincial Nomination Program
