Sudhir Mishra opens up on Karan Johar’s style of filmmaking, reveals that he will ‘always wish him well’ | Hindi Movie News

For a filmmaker whose body of work includes movies like Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisiand Chameli amongst others, Sudhir Mishra is a man of few words and lets his work do the talking.

Earlier this week, the veteran director sat down for a chat with Vivek Agnihotri, the director of The Kashmir Files. When Vivek called Karan the ‘leader of the industry’, whose content the audience is tired of watching, Sudhir quickly disagreed with him. The filmmaker said that Karan is just a part of the industry like he and Vivek are.
He further went on to say that the two are in completely different zones and while Karan will never make a film with him and vice versa, he will never wish any ill for the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director, since it is all about mutual respect.

He even went on to say that on the contrary, he hopes that Karan makes even more successful movies, since the more he prospers, the better it is for the industry. He also added that he is elated that Karan gives so many opportunities to new talent and hopes he continues to do so in the future as well.
Sudhir Mishra’s recently released movie Afwaah, is a thriller starring Bhumi Pednekar and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
