Redmi K50 series may have four different models
Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Redmi K50 series. The flagship smartphone series is tipped to have four models. All four models are rumoured to come with different processors. According to the tipster Digital Chat Station, the smartphone series may be equipped with Qualcomm as well as MediaTek chipset. The leakster also states that the Redmi K50 phones will come pre-installed with MIUI 13 out-of-the-box.
As per the tipster, Redmi K50 series may come with MediaTek Dimensity 7000 and Dimensity 9000 chipsets. The former is yet to be launched by the company. Qualcomm processors mentioned by the tipster are Snapdragon 870 SoC, and the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The leakster says that the Redmi K50 smartphones with Qualcomm chipsets will be faster than those with MediaTek processors.
A previous rumour suggested that the Redmi K50 series may consist of Redmi K50 Gaming Standard Edition and Redmi K50 Gaming Pro. The former is tipped to come powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7000 processor, while the Redmi K50 Pro may run on MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. The handsets may offer a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW3 primary sensor.
Redmi K50 Pro, on the other hand, is said to come with a high refresh rate display of either 120Hz or 144Hz. It is expected to come with quad camera setup consisting of 64MP Sony Exmor IMX686 sensor.
