Next-gen Lexus LBX SUV exterior teased: Global debut on June 5

Lexus recently shared a teaser of its upcoming LBX SUV on its social media handles that is set to mark its global debut on June 5, 2023. The first teaser image provides a glimpse of the headlamp and grille, while the second teaser reveals the tail lamp’s lightbar, which is visible.

Featuring a similar front grille as the Lexus RX, the upcoming LBX will come equipped with sleeker-looking headlamps and Lexus badging at the centre. The teaser suggests that the rear will sport a full LED lightbar running across the tailgate. The second visible element is the rear haunches.

Lexus LBX SUV: Powertrain
According to the reports, the next-gen Lexus LBX might be built on the TNGA-B platform similar to the Toyota Yaris on sale internationally. The upcoming Lexus LBX is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder gasoline engine with an AWD hybrid setup that will produce a peak power of 111 hp. The Front-Wheel-Drive non-hybrid variant with a 1.5-litre engine will generate a max power of 120 hp.

More details about the Lexus LBX are yet to be disclosed. The ‘LB’ in the model name potentially refers to the B-segment, while the ‘X’ letter indicates that the upcoming car will be an SUV.
Lexus LBX: India launch
The Lexus LBX is slated to unveil on June 5, 2023, in Milan, Italy. As of now, Lexus has not shared any information about the LBX launch in the Indian market, however, we expect that the carmaker might introduce this model in our market after it goes on sale in the global markets.
