Naseeruddin Shah opens up on the troubled times the industry lives in, says everyone is scared | Hindi Movie News


Whether it is #BoycottBollywood or the concept of ‘propoganda films’, Bollywood has been reeling under troubled times recently. In such a scenario, it seems like the whole of Bollywood is living under constant fear, as expressed by veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah.

In a recent interview to a leading daily, the actor opened up on the current times. When asked what should an artist do in such troubled times, the 72-year-old said that these days, one can’t do anything, except stay quiet and not participate in any propoganda. He further added that these days, artists are scared to raise their voices, else they might face wrath or their movies might be boycotted.
He further went on to say that it is not the job of artists to bring about a change, though art in itself can bring about healing. He further said that artists should raise the right questions, but it needs to come from a place of fearlessnes. He also said that only words and no action won’t solve the issue, one has to practice what they preach.
On the work front, Naseeruddin Shah is currently drawing accolades for his web series Taj: Divided by Blood.
