Jeep Meridian X, Upland limited-edition models teased ahead of launch tomorrow: Details
As per the teaser video on the company’s official social media handles, the Meridian X and Meridian Upland versions will feature two very distinctive styling themes. The Meridian X will likely feature a more urban design theme, finished in a new silver paint scheme, whereas the Meridian Upland is the one to get more of a go-anywhere look and feature a new blue colour option.

The teaser also reveals that the Meridian Upland will be equipped with a roof carrier and side steps, while the Meridian X gets body-coloured plastic cladding. The two new limited-edition models are expected to be based on a new Limited Plus variant, which could be slotted between the current Limited and Limited (O) trims.
The changes to both the limited-edition X and Upland variants are expected to be cosmetic only, while a few new features could also be added. However, the 2.0-litre diesel engine putting out 173 PS power and 350 Nm torque will likely remain untouched. Transmission options include a 6-speed MT, as well as a 9-speed AT, with optional all-wheel drive (AWD) system.
The Jeep Meridian is currently priced from Rs 30.10 lakh, going up to Rs 37.50 lakh (ex-showroom), and rivals the likes of MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner as well as Skoda Kodiaq in the Indian market.
