Fremont police investigating Saturday evening shooting
The Fremont Police Department is asking the public for information about a shooting Saturday evening near Fremont Boulevard and Thornton Avenue.
Fremont police say the shooting happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. Saturday when a vehicle pulled up alongside a pedestrian in the 37000 block of Fremont Boulevard. A person from the vehicle got out and, during a confrontation, opened fire on the pedestrian, police said.
No one was injured in the shooting. The pedestrian ran to a nearby neighborhood while the assailants fled the scene.
No arrests have been announced.
