The Union Ministry of Health plans to celebrate the day with programs across India. Sources told News18 that it plans to include Covid-19 veterans and health workers, the most prominent in the vaccination campaign.

Health Minister Mansukh Mandvia has asked the ministry officials to share their thoughts on how to honor the Kovid-19 warriors during the 100 crore dose completion celebrations. The number of vaccinations crossed 96 thousand

According to the latest figures, Covid-19 vaccination has crossed 96.78 crore (96,78,08,545) in India. More than 32 lakh (32,36,997) vaccines have been administered till 7 pm on Wednesday.

Vaccination begins January 16

The nationwide vaccination campaign was launched on January 16 in the first phase with the vaccination of health workers (HCWs). Vaccination of frontline employees against Covid-19 began on 2 February.

The next phase of Covid-19 vaccination was started on March 1 for other diseases aged 60 years and above and for people 45 years and older. The country started vaccinating all people over the age of 45 from April 1.
