2023 Yamaha Aerox 155 launched at Rs 1.43 lakh: R15 V4, MT-15 motorcycles also updated

Yamaha Motor India has launched the 2023 Aerox 155 maxi-scooter in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 1.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated scooter now complies with the BS6 Phase II norms, and is also E20 fuel ready. As a part of the update, the scooter now also gets a Traction Control System (TCS), a hazard system as well as a new colourway.
The maxi-scooter continues to be powered by the 155 cc Blue Core engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), mated to a CVT transmission. This liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve motor produces a max power output of 15 PS at 8,000 rpm with 13.9 Nm of peak torque produced at 6,500 rpm. The new Metallic Silver colour option gets contrasting black and golden accents, along with golden alloy wheels.

Yamaha R15 V4, R15S and MT-15 V2 motorcycles also updated
Apart from the Aerox 155 maxi-scooter, Yamaha has also updated the R15, R15S and MT-15 V2 motorcycles for the 2023MY. The R15 V4 now gets a Quick Shifter with the newly introduced Intensity White colourway. The new colour option is priced at Rs 1.86 lakh (ex-showroom) – the same price as Racing Blue, sitting atop the line.
The R15S, i.e. the previous-gen iteration of the R15 motorcycle, is also now OBD2 compliant and now gets a brand-new LCD display. The 2023 Yamaha R15S is priced at Rs 1.63 lakh, Talking about the MT-15 V2, it now gets two new colours in the form of Dark Matte Blue & Metallic Black. Pricing for the MT-15 V2 starts from Rs 1.65 lakh, and goes up to Rs 1.69 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).

The R15 V4, R15S and the MT-15 V2 are all powered by the same 155 cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve, fuel-injected engine that is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an Assist and Slipper clutch. This engine puts out 18.4 PS of peak power at 10,000 rpm, and 14.2 Nm torque at 7,500 rpm.
