1 dead, 10 injured after 13-year-old allegedly crashes SUV in Woodland
WOODLAND, Calif. — The Woodland Police Department said a woman died in a crash on Saturday caused by a teen driver in a stolen vehicle attempting to evade police.
“An officer was working in the area, when he observed a vehicle driving erratically,” said Sgt. Victoria Danzl, of the Woodland Police. Danzl said the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but that the driver — identified by police as a 13-year-old — took off, driving erratically, which began a brief pursuit. Danzl said the driver was traveling northbound on College Street when he entered the intersection around 4:27 p.m.
